200th Anniversary
1822 – 2022

The First Congregational Church of Twinsburg is celebrating it’s 200th Anniversary this year.

We are trying to put together several programs throughout the year to help celebrate this event. Please check back here for more info on these events and to see pictures of them if you were not able to attend.

Spectrum News 1 did a story on the church and the 200th Anniversary.

The link to that story is HERE.

200th Anniversary Cook Book

We have put together a cook book of our favorite recipes for our 200th Anniversary. They are on 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper in clear sheet protectors in a 3 ring binder. Bigger print, easier to use. We are selling them for $10/ea. Here is the order form. The instructions and shipping selections are on the form.

We are selling Church Pews as a fundraiser for our 200th Anniversary!!
(No, you don’t get to keep them or take them home)

When this Church was built in 1822, Pews were sold to the congregation to help in the building of the Church. They were able to raise enough money to pay for the entire project. We are celebrating our 200th Anniversary this year and  thought that we would try this to help raise funds for the yearlong celebration.
Please consider Buying a Pew for $50/Pew. In turn there will be a engraved plaque, see below, placed on it for a year at which time you can renew it. The plaques will be 3-1/4” tall and 12” wide with black Lettering. Please return filled out forms, below, to the Church Office, 9050 Church St., Twinsburg, OH  44087,  with your payment. Please be aware, there could be multiple plaques for each pew.

Here are a few pictures from the 3/19/2022 Slide Program.

This program was put on by Bonnie Williams and Richard Bissell. They put together the presentation that featured the church and the area surrounding the square. This was only a small sampling of their 700 slides that document the history of Twinsburg. There were about 50 people in attendance and it was fun seeing what was then versus what is now.
